Yes that should work just fine. The key is the "Including CAN, required on all vehicles starting in 2008."

I added Guages, Satellite Radio,
Air Horns, and a coolant filter. Bilstein shocks. Battery Desulphater that really works.
Installed Jimmi Jammers.

Completely Stock.

I had a Detroit Diesel 8V92TA in a KW dump truck in 1980. That sucker would put out 425 hp but would never out pull a CAT.

Does the scanguage II give you all the information that you need for operation and towing?

I put the scanguage 2 in my truck and i really like it. It makes it easy to compare your engine oil temp and coolant temp. The only downside is that it does not show exhaust temp. Here is a list of ford specific gauges you can monitor. Also it serves as a code reader! Ford Specific XGauges : Linear Logic : Home of the ScanGauge

nbookie, I'm driving a 2006 f250. Yes, mine shows coolant temp. If I remember right that was a "stock" scangauge setting. My buddy got a scangauge also and his shows it too. I think he drives a 04 or 05. Here's a pic, it's on the lower right side.
