I'm a new member and am looking for information on how to get more power and better fuel mileage while pulling a 34' fifth wheel trailer. I have a 2006 F350 super duty with a 6.0 V8 that I have been happy with it, but when the warranty runs out I want to install something that will increase power and fuel economy. Thanking whoever can help with things that they may have done to strenghten their Ford super duty

Most of us here stay away from Banks, most of the time you can
do a little shopping and get more and better for less Hello Talon and welcome to SSD.com, I have the same truck as you and pull a 36 ft HitchHiker. The truck does fine but would like more MPG. Where you from in Texas? Doug

There are several things that anyone wanting to "increase power and fuel economy" should do BEFORE installing a chip/tuner/modifier etc. to accomplish said increase.
Lots of members here have done the mods, and have had good luck with the 6.0 after the work. Things to be done: ARP head studs. Black Onyx head gaskets. Bulletproof EGR/Oil cooler. Coolant filter. Bypass oil filter. And on and on. Other members can add to the list. Again, all of this done before chipping for more power. Otherwise, you're just shooting yourself in the foot.

Battery Desulphater that really works. Installed Jimmi Jammers. Pictures here: http://community.webshots.com/user/dbennett48 Completely Stock. I had a Detroit Diesel 8V92TA in a KW dump truck in 1980. That sucker would put out 425 hp but would never out pull a CAT. |

Black Oynx are overpriced. Some have reported HG issues after using them. Stay with OEM headgaskets when installing ARP studs.
