Default I hate being the noob w/another exhaust " ?"

Aaarrrrgggg!!!! I tried to search this topic so I am truly sorry if this is a repeat question....

If I keep my dpf, am I able to do an exhaust that's worth damn? The only kits for my 6.4 that doesn't include a delete pipe just look like tube and a pretty tip. Is there a way to get better air flow/sound with this damn dpf in?

Thanks for your help guys

I believe the overwhelming response is going to be "no". I have 10k miles to go until my warranty is up, and that entire exhaust from the turbo back is the first thing to go! I have been saving for two years for a complete Spartan kit, and can't wait for that day to arrive!!

Thanks for the chime in. It's lame but I guess I'll deal with it until the warranty is up. Still have 30k mi left lol.

I would wait if I was you, GAD. You have got an expensive truck that Ford will void your warranty if you add a tuner and exhaust. They can't really do that, but they will if what ever goes wrong with your truck gets in for warranty work. Your truck and your decision.

Completely Stock.

I had a Detroit Diesel 8V92TA in a KW dump truck in 1980. That sucker would put out 425 hp but would never out pull a CAT.

You guys are awesome, thank you. I will wait (as rough as it will be) until the warranty is up. Someone mentioned a AFE stage 2 intake...my question is that I looked on a couple websites and the info about the intake said that it required a reprogram. Is this correct?

Why are you all hot to replace the factory air cleaner? It is rated for 500 hp air flow. No better filter on the market. It is a pain in the butt to change, bu t doable.

Yes, change the air box and it will start throwing codes, truck is finally getting plenty of air and the computer doesn't like it. Bought my truck in 07 have 36,000 miles on it now, last week just installed the AFE air box, the complete exhaust and loaded up the spartan 210 tune. Bought this as a package from Spartan. Can't believe the difference, liked my truck before, now I love it and 20 pluse MPG's on the freeway, hand checked are a added bonus.

If you do change the filter or air box do your research cause there is a lot of junk out there with misleading claims and "test results", learn what the ISO test's are and mean. Cheap filters are just that and be prepared to spend big bucks that'll out clean a factory filter. No point getting a filter that pass air but'll kill your motor with dirt.

No better filter for a stock truck, put the 150 tune with dpf on and started to suck the filter, truck needs more air than the stock filter says it's giving the truck. Went with the AFE and exhaust form spartan, you can tell the truck breaths easier, run the 210 tune as my daily driver.Wouldn't want the stock air box running the tunes.......
