Age is obviously a factor but for me being under 30 time has become equally important. Plus knowing that if someone else does it there is some sort of warranty with the work they are doing it's nice. I would much rather pay someone to do it and let them screw up and do it again then invest my sweat and most likely a little blood and find out I missed something and get to do it all over again. Not to mention most reputable shops can do it in less than half the time I could.
