I have to agree on the CPS.. parts store sensors (especially discount parts house ones) are known to cause issues.

Get it from Ford or IHC.

poke about for the CPS info in the 7.3 forum.

the EBPV is electrically controlled. the tube that is connected to it gets plugged. all gremlins will trigger it. one step at a time.

Does the truck have a performance chip in it................if so pull it and see if the problems still occur.

No chip in the truck. I have wondered if the previous owner had a chip in it but found no evidence. I am starting to lean towards the EBPV issue more after hearing what ya'll are saying. Especially since that is the only consistant code that appears. Question for ya'll too along those lines, the previous owner had a aftermarket/performance exhaust installed on the truck. Could that have any bearing to the problems with the EBPV or possible clogged tube?
