stalling at idle ? - F-Series & SuperDuty Diesel Forums

My truck stalls occasionally or sometimes will just studder, it ussually does it in gear, anybody gt any ideas as to what is wrong?

first guess is CPS after that I'd be looking at other electronics or HP oil system

I have even noticed a studder around 1000 rpm or so. What color is the current cps know, is it black?

X2 for the CPS first. Buy the black one, I have read that the new grey one has a lot of complains.

the old cps is black, the new replacement under recall is grey, and you'll find blue ones that work on the 7.3 but were intended for the DT466.

some people have reported lower power & reduced mileage with the grey CPS others have had no problems.
