Default Injectors.

No problems or issues at all, yet, but my 2K just turned 170K on the odometer. (alot of that, Towing)

Sooo.. I'm thinking Injectors may be in my future, based on the common history of a 7.3.

1. Should I go: Stock, Stage ? ..as replacements... with the Engine Mods in my Sig. ??

2. Would there be any Real benefit in Stage I's or II's, for towing (12K) ??

Your valued opinions Please ?

Joe

Been kind of wondering the same thing. I think the first place I'm going to call and ask is going to be somewhere like Beans.

Even more so because mine is chucking a #8 contribution fault and has a definite misfire.

I would stick with stock or stage 1. I ran stage 2 singles on my 2000 with a 38r. It was a great setup but the 38r was definitely needed to clean up the smoke.

SInce you reside in CA, I'd definately stick with split shots.
I've been told by at least 3 different people that do tuning, that more power and economy can be had from single shots. But the problem is, single shots like to make smoke. Mine would smoke like mad in the OMG position on the flip chip. But smoke is not a good thing if you're in CA. So I have to 2nd the suggestion to go with stage 1 split shots and 38R turbo.

Well luckily here in ks we have no smog inspections like cali so more smoke out the smoke stacks will look sweet haha.

Thanks for the inputs and insight guyz.

I've been doing a little PM'n 'round. The consensus is about the same as your inputs.

SMOKE, as it relates to the BS Cali Smog Opacity check thing is the main issue.

He Runz Good, Pullz Good.. No oil consumption.. If it it ain't broke, Don't fix it... is where I'm at for now.

But when I do need new injectors ? Stock will probably [have to be] it. (but I ain't completely dun yet )

Thanks again tho..

Joe

As i said in one of my PM's: GD' it, I Hate following some BS ruling thats Jammed down my throat.

Will do.

I've been in contact with many of our Site sponsors.. all have been strait forward and informative. Anything Reman is an issue with me.. I'd just as soon go New, with Injectors..

I'm getting a little more smoke, at first start ups.. than I'm useta, but it IS a Diesel . Gave the ol' Boy a good (AE) Scan today.. Nothing showing, in any of the Modes so..we press on from here.

Joe

I'm guna move on this purdy quike I think. I'd rather have'm in hand.. than Need'm and not have'm. More to follow.
