gents:
just got done tracing the most annoying fuel leak. my gauge is on a bracket bolted to the alternator mount. I was SURE it was the FPR leaking right below it. drivers side of the engine was fuel wet. the only clue was the gauge fluid was slightly green from ulsd. did not seem to leak at idle, only under load. gauge is about 5 years old. fluid filled that I got from a vendor. I traced a diesel smell in the cab to the gauge under the hood. Fluid had leaked out of the gauge and was also leaking fuel at idle. It is no longer in the truck and the smell has left the cab.
