Default Trans replacement

Well, I am working on replacing the transmission. Down to where I just need to remove the transfer case and trans.

Any tips or tricks to make it easier?

Specifically, how do you turn the torque converter/flex plate to remove the bolts? Reinstall the starter and bump the motor?

Thanks again for all the advice and help.

I would bar the motor over until you get all three flywheel/torque converter bolts out. Make sure you have the keys OUT of the truck or you can start the motor by barring it over. You do not want to start the motor with loose bolts in the torque converter.

Completely Stock.

You can use a large screwdriver to turn the flexplate. Or you can use a special tool for turning it.
The screwdriver is cheaper.

flywheel turners aren't that expensive, but the screwdriver you probably already have..

Well the nuts are off. I was REALLY surprised at how easy it is to turn the flexplate. Did it with two hands.

Thanks again.
