Default 2011 F350 headlights suckkkkkk

I've been driving around now with my brights on ALL the time and NO ONE flashes me. I'm blind at night and especially when it rains. I moved my daughters last weekend to Ptown and had a u-haul truck, Ford. And the headlights sucked on it to. Is this a Ford standard issue problem.

So here's my options for resolution:
Approx $300 gets me a set of 6000k or 7000k hid headlights installed, replacing the factory lights.
Or should I add a set of external lights and operated by one of my upfitter switches??

Only disappointing thing about my truck. Headlights, I guess that's not such a bad thing.

Can't you adjust them up? Silverstar Ultra are some BRIGHT lights.
