San Diego Newbie

Hello everyone. I've been an SUV owner for a long time. Kids and dogs made it a requirement. July 6th a lady decided to run a red light and slam into my Expedition. It ended up getting totaled out. The wife and I had some discussions about getting another SUV or getting a pick up. We're hoping to pick up a toy hauler in the next few years so the desicion was made to get a pick up. And I've wanted a diesel for years so that's what I looked at. We decided to go new because we plan on having it for a long time. This is our first new vehicle and we're loving it.



It's an F250 Lariat. The 6.7 is awesome. I can't wait to hook my boat up and head over the hill to Az. I've been lurking on here for a couple days and it looks like a good place to hang out.

That sure is a big jump from an SUV, great decision! Welcome and enjoy..

Sometimes I miss the storage of the SUV, but I ordered a shell for it so that'll help with the storage in the back. It's also going to get rhino lined at the same time. The only thing that bugs me is the smaller tank. I might have to save up for one of those Titan tanks. But the funny part is I'm getting about the same mileage per tank that my SUV got.

I actually don't have the yellow one anymore. It's just a name that's stuck with me. The engine blew the end of last year and I lost motivation to work on it. That was the third engine for that car. Machine shop issues.

The stats are Boss block with stroker crank, 04 Cobra heads with Comp springs and GT cams, Bassani mids, Bassani catted X, Borla Stingers, Ford GT pumps, -8 feed line to aftermarket rails, 80lb injectors, P&P intake, procharger F1A, T-56, 04 cobra clutch, findanza flywheel, lowered, subframe connectors, yadda, yadda, yadda.

This was the replacement. 2004 Cobra with mystichrome paint. This was my dream car and I had the chance to buy one. The wife told me to do it so the rest is history.

It has the typical mods: intake, pulley, tune, exhaust, MGW shifter, RXT clutch. There's a set of subframe connectors waiting to be welded on.
