Default Still got the "mod" bug!!

Even though I'm now driving a Duramax, I still feel the need to "modify".

Since I took delivery, I've added a Leer cap/topper, Rhino bed liner, Luverne running boards, a factory style remote start, the DIC (dash information center) buttons, some WeatherTech floor mats and an Edge Insight CTS. (The Edge is not a programer, just a display for reading codes and sensors.) And just yesterday, on my back in the driveway, in the snow (what is wrong with me?? I need help!!) I installed a set of OEM foglights.

So later today, the grandboy and me are driving in style to rendevouis with my daughter about midway so he can go home. Tomorrow, it's back to work and the daily grind to earn more bucks for more "mods".

Completely Stock.

I had a Detroit Diesel 8V92TA in a KW dump truck in 1980. That sucker would put out 425 hp but would never out pull a CAT.

It's an Incurable disease TG, you should know that by now.

No matter what we buy, no matter how good it is.. for it's designed and intended purpose.. we have an incurable Need & Desire.. to make it BEDDER.

It's in our DNA.

D-Max, PSD, Ram.. makes no difference.. yer guna find, and Conjure up ways, to make it MORE BEDDER.

You only THOUGHT.. you were over that. No Way. Just accept it.. and move on (to the Next mod).

My brother-in-laws now call me TT (short for Tim the toolman Taylor). They think I'm nuts for moding everything. From the truck to RC cars to guns, I can't leave anything alone. I don't think this disease is fatal, unless it gets too out of hand....my wife might kill me! Funny part is, she believed me when I said there was nothing I needed to do to the 06 when we got rid of the 97. And to my credit, I didn't really NEED to do any of the mods. I still hear about it from the wife and my mom regularly about the "perfect" truck that I was gonna leave alone. Just couldn't do it!

Mods make it more unique. Everything I touch gets modded wether its engine or body. Got to be different.

majek-What R/C cars you got?? I just got into the big expensive ones. I have a Traxxas Slash 4x4 Kawasaki edition with RPM goodies and a couple lipos. Those trucks are tons of fun! Another expensive hobby for me damn it!

I've got 2 HPI Proceeds, 1 Traxxas 4-tec pro, 1 Traxxas 4-tec, 1 HPI Savage SS and a ton of extra (expensive) parts.
And of course the stock plastic parts aren't good enough, put the shiny Aluminum parts on there.

Kent, it's an uncontrollable disease. I told my self I was going to leave this truck alone but in the end I was just lying to my self. Since I bought it I have done Recon smoked mirror lights, clearance lights, third brake light, Whelen Hide-Away strobes, PTM handles and mirrors, shaved badges on the fenders and doors. The emissions stuff mysteriously fell off the truck two years ago, MBRP turbo back straight pipe, Auto Meter gauges and I have been running IDP's tunes since May of 2011. And I'm currently gathering components for a very nice stereo system...........

I need help..............
