When we first moved to MS, we still had the house in TX too. We ran TX tags for a year or two after we'd moved, but eventually MS troopers began cracking down and required you to show proof of residence, etc. There's no way I'd actually try and do that now. The initial cost savings might be nice at first, but the tickets & fines that you'd have to pay on top of buying MS tags and penalties wouldn't be worth it in the long run. I guess the old saying "crime doesn't pay" is true (unless you don't get caught!)
