As for them tryin' to screw me, I really doubt it with this shop. They've done about everything possible to work with me throughout this ordeal. But I suppose anything's possible.
He said he took them off and had them checked out while he was reaplacing the gaskets. I think he told me there was severe warping. The only good news is that I shopped around and found a set for a little over $300
I got a call from the diesel shop this morning; they tell me I need two new heads. I sure would like to know what the hell the previous owner did to my truck.
Yeah thanks again guys, biggest downside of the whole ordeal was that I had to borrow a buddies cummins to tow the ol' stroke to the shop and he took a picture of it and posted it on cumminsforum.
Well I got it to a good diesel shop, they did a compression test on 'er and say that they think it's a blown head gasket. They're going to go ahead and replace both gaskets for $1500+tax.
I just called the shop back and the only answer he would give me is, "there is excessive blow-by causing pressure in the cooling system". This mean anything to anyone?

Just to put my .02 in here. I run 315-75/16's on my stock rim and front leveled. There is some rubbing at lock but not a big deal. Also I bought my maxxix mudders off ebay for $700 shipped and think I got a great deal!
