buy a later 99.5 to 02 front wheel bearing and replace the rotor to match. Its a lot cheaper then an early hub. later hub and rotor is cheaper then early hub alone. It will all bolt together
its most likely the fuel heater shorting. Unplug it or it will take out another fuse. You dont need it. If you want one, they have better heater elements available.
if your pcm is an xle4 from a 99 and you switch to a pmt 1 or pmt2 it will be quieter. My wifes 99 is a lot louder than my 01. I mean a lot louder. I love the diesel sound but mines nice.
are you talking about the 2 black cartridges that go in from the front? mine says
mt2500tsi on it then a date on the 2004
the other cartridge says mt2500vci also 2004 Am I looking at the right stuff?
K2A is the key or just K2. I have one of these. It works good on the 7.3's. I have all the keys cartridges etc. I was thinking of selling mine but i need to get 400 shipped but its all there from what i can see. Case and all.
Correct on fuel dilution, The oils are much better now then they were. But if your injectors are leaking fuel in, which they do, or you have a dpf truck, then fuel in the oil is an issue. In a perfect scenario the oil is good for a lot longer, like 7500 or so.
keep in mind the factory used head bolts not studs. The factories metal was and is much weaker then the material arp uses in there studs. Not to mention a stud is much stronger then a bolt. Thats why race car use studs on everything.
mine did the same, injectors were failing.(2 of them) have a cct test performed in the morning when the motor is cold. A week injector feels like a vibration at 35 mph. Thats approx when the tc locks up. When itslocked its direct drive. The vibrations are noticeable. Could be a converter or...
coarse thread was thru 2002, 03 up fine thread. Just would use different lug nuts.
if it goes away with locked hubs, it very well may be the needle bearings ford part number

vacuume only operates the front hubs. It does not work the motor. Iff you have it in 2wd and hubs unlocked you should be able to reach under and spin the front driveshaft. If you flip the switch on the dash, even with vacuume issues, the front shaft should not spin anymore cause the transfercase...
