2002 7.3 4x4 CrewCab Dually w/167,000+ miles with No Extras. Runs fine. Good speed/torque. Motor purrs like a lion. Lurching begins after reaching *normal operating temperature*. Seems like it shifts at the wrong time. When trying to maintain speed I can feel it lurch (almost like a gasoline engine misfire). Like I said, only when *NOT* is reached.
At highway speeds it will maintain with Cruise Control Activated until you "tap" the brake pedal to disengage and then it will sorta...bang. Like the RPMs are not the same speed as the tranny. When the accelerator pedal is depressed again it will bang/clunk/whatever you wanna call it (it's just not smooth), again, like the RPM's are not in sync with the tranny. Would a faulty Trans Temp Sensor cause this? Maybe a speed sensor. I did a Complete Fluid Change. ALL THE FLUID along with the filter of course. NO METAL Particles except for the normal bit of metallic sludge around the magnet.
I'm open to ALL suggestions.

@trackspeeder

Don't remember what it's called, but the "range sensor" on the side of the transmission (tells the computer what gear you have selected). They can cause strange issues.....

Hopefully trackspeeder will along and see this, he is really sharp on the E4OD/4R100 transmissions......
