Well about 3 years ago I put a rough country leveling kit on my truck and in about a year it sagged and now all the shocks and everything is going to the pits. After alittle research on here ive come to the conclusion to maybe get a ICON 4" spring system to replace the front spring and give my 315/75/16 Duratacs alittle more room. I just bought two new rear leafs from the stealer because my passanger had 3 leafs fall out so figured might as well add some height while im tearing it apart. Also what shocks would be good to install for a quality ride?

Bilstein shocks are the best and ride great. I know they cost more than any other shocks, but they are totally worth it.

I don't know about lifted trucks, I am sure Bilstein makes shocks for them also.

I was just looking and im wondering now if I should go with a hanger kit and just spend the extra money and buy two factory front leaf springs and then get the 4.5 icon hanger kit with the rear blocks or would the icon kit with front springs be a good way to go?

longer hangers would be more prone to twist.. I think I'd just have a driveline shop arc the leafs

Bilsteins are crap. I had 2 sets and both had bushings Crack and split as well as body corroded horribly with one set leaking all within months.

Rode super stiff too.

My Fox 2.0's look great after a salty winter and ride fine.

Anyone saying they feel the shocks making a huge difference in ride is either fooling themselves or justifying wasting money on them.

Springs make or break a ride. Shocks do nothing more than control jounce and keep the tires planted on the ground.

So then going by what you said at the end the Bilsteins didn't make your truck ride stiff. Shocks and struts do make a difference in ride. The valving can change the way a vehicle rides.

Sorry you had bad luck with Bilstein. I've had good luck with mine. And will be putting them on my truck soon.

I have no experience with Fox shocks. But my buddy that used to build prerunners likes them.

I meant they were stiff...just like the factory ones and my Fox shocks...no difference. People always claim it rides so much better with them which is clearly untrue.

By all means go with what you feel will fit your build and good luck...everyone's interpretation of a ride is subjective anyway. Plus you'll save a few bucks if you do like them over the other pricier options

Advice on 4” lift don’t get one get a 6” lift. 4” lifts are proportioned for small trucks minimum 6” lift and 37” tires for a full size F250
