Ok, this could be a little long. I have a 2000 6 speed manual, 4wheel drive, 4 door door with a 6 inch lift, 5 inch exhaust, and cold air intake.

I had to replace my injectors, so I went with Stage 2 injectors with a single stroke(instead of factory 2 stroke style injector) and purchased a TS six position chip with 30,60,80,100,120 and smoke.
Since everything has been installed here are the problems:
*will high idle once the motor is warm and will not idle down.
*the accelerator is very touchy when driving. Jerky when in gear. I give it alittle gas and the engine will make the truck jerk back and forth.
*when in park and give it gas, there isn't a smooth rpm ramp. will jump from 1100 to 2000 (i changed the throttle position sensor)
*I do not notice any change in performance when switching between the tunes.

My thoughts, Im thinking when the chip was tuned they didn't program it for the single stoke stage 2 injectors. And since I had a shop install it while doing the injectors they might not of installed the chip correctly. Like, to wipe silicone away from the PCM connectors for a good connection.

Any ideas.....could I be looking in the right direction. I thought I would get some feedback before I start digging into it.

Thanks for any help. I dont mess with diesels every day so input from you all is greatly appreciated!!

Go to the Chip manufacture and look for the specs and programs. See if they have a match for what you want. If not email them or call. Good luck! :)

Single shot and split shot, not stroke. You might confuse someone. Lol
Call the tuner.

Well I fixed the problem. The shop that did the injectors and installed the chip didn't do the correct procedure when cleaning the contacts. They still had the protective layer on them. Cleaning them up installed everything and the test run was great. It idiles great when warmed up and has the power I was expecting. My boost is between 25 to 30. Reading past posts has really help out!!!

Also, my ECM flash code is XPC4. I know it is for a manual, but I havent really found any real info on it.

Ford does not release much on the ECM flashes. Every time I have had an "improvement" installed by Ford, it hurts the power. If you are happy the way it is, do not let Ford reflash your ECM.

Ford didn't hurt my power when they reflashed the EMC, on my 06, but it
sure dropped my MPG on the road from 17 to 13.1 at 70 MPH.
