Liftgate Actuator

Looking for a good reasonable source for parts and like so many my quest is for the electric actuator to the liftgate. Directions are always appreciated.

I second Crumm for Powerstrokeparts.com for the part/s.
I quoted the instructions from the 2002 service manual if it'll help.

Liftgate Trim Panel removal instructions;

Remove the interior liftgate handle trim covers
Remove the screws.
Remove the interior liftgate handle.
Remove the push pins.
Remove the lower interior liftgate trim panel.

Liftgate Latch Actuator Removal and Installation;

Remove the liftgate latch remote control.
Disconnect the lock cylinder actuator rod.
Disconnect the LH and RH liftgate latch cables.
Disconnect the cable conduit.
Disconnect the cable.
Disconnect the exterior liftgate handle actuating rod.
Open the locking clip.
Disconnect the actuating rod.
Disconnect the liftgate latch actuator electrical connector.
Remove the three liftgate latch remote control nuts.
Remove the liftgate latch remote control.

Release the clip on the actuator.
Now Remove the liftgate latch actuator.

Re-install in reverse order

I've taken the old one out, but broke the tap. Boy I'm glad it was the problem. Thanks for the insite.

Heads up there dzl_x_4x4,a fellow Excursion owner provided this LINK to a retailer that carries the standard actuators for hecka cheap.

He stated he recently changed over all (5) of his actuators for about $30 and took about 30 minutes each to knock out:sweet

I have not found the lock acuators on the site yet. I will let you know the part number and cost afterwards.

That was for the door, did you come across one for the liftgate? I haven't yet, but I appreciate the help. Thanks %)

I think that the left door is the same as the lift gate. Cany anyone confirm this?
