Question no power

i am helping a friend on his 96 178,000 mi.,auto no power when you push the pedal. thought the turbo might be the problem. dtc showed no codes, when truck gets up to speed, passing another vehicle should only be done on a long stretch of highway. thank you for the help. :dunno

Check all of the boots that connect the turbo to the intake manifold. You have a big leak somewhere. GET GAUGES!

You can also try electrically disconnecting the MAP sensor and seeing if it runs better based on the default tables. You'll get a CEL while it is unplugged. Doesn't cost anything to do it. Cheers!
