"Special handling", that is bull hockey. Sure you have to be careful, but unless you have a battery rupture you are fine. Just do not cut into one of the clearly marked ORANGE high voltage wires.

its fairfax county...one of the highest income countys and they
STILL manage to overspend...and come up w/ new ways to get ya.

You don't buy a hybrid to save on gas cost. Because you won't! You buy one to be more friendly to mother nature. Going green they call it :lmao

There are a few different types of hybrids and the Lexus is what they call a "power hybrid". And you'll gain 2-3 mpg over your standard model with out being hybrid. But you factor in the cost different between the two it's not worth it!

worthy of consideration that is for sure !

the ford web site says "up to" 35mpg (24/35) so sounds
like youre getting even better than that.

i think when you weigh the msrp that focus is a serious
contender....and when you consider the cost per gallon d vs g
its hard to argue against.

Ive had 3 focus' an 01 ZX3, 03 SVT and 04 SVT, and wouldnt hesitate for a second to own another. Great car for the money, excellent fuel economy.

WOW Bill. This is interesting.

I didn't know BMW even made any of their cars available in a diesel.

Good luck on your car shopping.

Not to be nosey or anything, what would a CHP Mustang like yours bring these days?
I bet there are some out there that would love to have it. Especial those that you know of that own one themselves.
BMW USA is tentatively making the "D" models available late this year with word on the street the Diesel option could be in the $2k range to keep it appealing to the consumer.

I had an offer of over $10k on the car late last summer.

It's a stock 1990 ex-California Highway Patrol car with all the equipment right down to the rare electronics pieces that this car had installed when it was in service from 1991-1992,it just needs the plates, decal set and new black & white panit to make the restoration complete.

Starts(no smoke),runs like new, passes the emissions test same as or better than most vehicles produced today, the emissions test technicians swears there is something wrong with the machine each time:D

This car will only be sold to a Special Service Mustang collector so it can be saved from the kids that want to chop it up and tub it,we've taken far to much pride and care in this car for it to be defiled in such a way.:cop

Gets 19mpg doesn't matter if it's driven on the highway or around town, the mileage doesn't change much.:sweet
