I get to fly down to Chicago O'Hare for pre-employment testing on Monday.

Then I get to kill about 9 hours of time waiting for my flight back home to Marquette.

96 miles TG.

[IF] a "New Hire" wasn't current.. I usta have to send them to Bakersfield, Ca.. to get their DOT physical & background check (pee in a cup) done... After they had their DON physical & background check (pee in a cup) done... After they had their Cal, DMV, CDL physical (pee in a cup) done.

It was "Rice Bowl" stuff.. driven by 9-11 ?

On Edit, to be fair.. I understand it's been fixed some. The different agencys are "talking" to each other now, but it looks like you may have been caught up in some of what still remains ?

Kent you may be setting a record for this.

Hope you take something with you to help pass the time during your layover.

Good luck!!!!

I'm bringing my bookbag & laptop. I'm hoping to find a place to hang out like the USO or maybe an American Airlines employee lounge where I can work on projects for class or study for tests in school that are supposed to be practice tests for FAA mechanic exams.

on edit: FWIW, 380 miles

Thanks for the offer.

I talked to my classmate about car pooling to the airport on Monday. (Only 1 parking lot fee) He also got hired and is flying with me to Chicago.
Today he called a friend (a rich friend, very rich) and told him we were coming down. Apparently he has a hellacious, warehouse sized car collection that includes several of the race cars from the Tom Cruise movie "Days of Thunder".

Sounds like we are going to go look at some cars. :wow

Valparaiso, Florida to Dallas, Texas. American Eagle was who I was applying with, so the airplane ride was free.

I didn't get the job, because of a company policy regarding use of anti-depressants. If you ever used them, you need not apply.

Not a problem. Some people might find this hard to believe, but prescription anti-acid is the only thing I'm on. :CRAZY
