    Question 99 4x4 hub lock spins

    Took driver side wheel off and found the vacuum hose cut off. Repaired hose, and removed both sides hubs, cleaned/lubed and all is good now. I must have an early 99 because the innerds are a little different than the ones described/pictured in this forum.

    Hi all-- I have a 99 with ESOF and locking hubs on the wheels. The driver side lock spins without hitting a detent. And, if I just place it at the "Auto" mark, it still doesn't lock in. The ESOF doesn't seem to actuate the 4x4 now either. Maybe something broke in the hub? Thanks for any...

    Yeah, that was it-- fuse for cig lighter. And the tranny got a re-seal. The shop I took it to wanted me to get more done- said "it has a lot of metal in the pan". I've heard this before and have been told by others that trannys usually have metal in the pan. True or not?

    Trans temp sensor leaking.

    trans temp leaking Is the port you talk about in front of the shifting mechanism? And if the sensor is inserted too far could it cause a pressure build-up in the tranny? My tranny just started leaking in front (seal?) a day or two after the sensor was put in (coincidence?).

    7.3 fuel mileage question

    7.3 fuel mileage Would I need to have a local diesel shop recal my computer for my different size tires? My truck seems to be off by about .2 miles for every mile according to the highway markers (if those have any accuracy). And, my mileage is only about 12 too. Thanks--
