I have the filter kit. Thanks for the info. I think that the mixture is pretty darn close. i will probably get real uncomfortable in another month or so and drop it all and put the ELC back in so it is perfect. Thanks again!- boat hauler

Thanks for the reply. I thought you could check you sca's with the strips. I have just had a heck of a time with stopping leaks and such. I have needed to add antifreeze and water in small increments and don't know if I am still in the proper range. I was running ELC coolant and the...- boat hauler

Checking gold coolant with test strips
Wondering if anybody has some helpful hints on how to OR if you need to check the gold coolant levels. I had the dealership do a lot of work along with myself and we need to check and see if we are in the right level. I have the fleetguard strip pack if that helps. :thanks- boat hauler

Well, I took it to the dealership. It is fuel in the coolant. He pulled 2 of the injectors and said the sleves or the o-rings around the sleeves were leaking. Injectors looked good I was told. I guess to start off he pressurized the coolant system and saw evidence of a problem at 2...- boat hauler

Well, I have to be real honest, I haven't posted many problems lately. I have had good luck with the truck. I have been on the "other" site in the past with good luck. Nothing wrong here at all. fuel in antifreeze degass bottle
I thought I had oil in my antifreeze but people are telling me fuel instead. I have a scum line on the top of the antifreeze. Smells like varnish. How does a guy troubleshoot this? What are the most common ways fuel gets in the antifreeze? Cracked head? Cups? Any easy places to look...- boat hauler
