Whining front end
So the only under acceleration deal with it doesn't sound weird? I've heard plenty of jeeps whine like the dickens, and my old explorer whined when i went fast with 4x4 on. but this is only when on the gas, which is new to me.- Buds007

Whining front end
I tried searching this, and found a few cases of individuals who have a front end that whines at speed in 4x4. Symptoms with the truck, the truck being a 6.0l 2005 250. When in 4x4 and after goosing it or accelerating quickly, the front end whines, when the throttle is taken off it stops...- Buds007

Help Needed Can I run hubs in locked position
Simple question really, and for the most part it's just a matter of me being reassured that what i'm about to do isn't gonna grenade in my face. For boost I get up around 15 psi or so, but not more unless I flip whatever switch the guy who owned the truck before me put in. As for the tranny temp, I was incorrect. The lowest the gauge goes is 100 degrees, and my tranny wasn't running warmer than that until we went on a little trip...- Buds007

Alright. So I just bought a truck that has pods, with egt's boost pressure, and transmission temps. I see an idle egt of about 400 degrees or so. If I am running hard up to 1100 or 1200, but generally no more, and that's only when it's floored. My transmission guage on the dash always has the...- Buds007

I'm not sure what the hose test is, so no, i haven't done that. I would say it's probably not a cracked exhaust manifold just because I have heard the sound that makes. It could be a weird crack though.- Buds007

Clicking 7.3
Loud to where people notice, and I have to turn the music up a pretty good click if I don't want to hear it when I get on the throttle, but not loud enough to really scare the crap out of me. Just an odd harmonic clicking that doesn't increase in frequency, only in volume.- Buds007

Good morning to all. I'm new to the superduty arena, but just got into an '02 250 with the 7.3. Everything so far seems to be working fine with it, aside from a very loud clicking accompanied by any application of throttle. If I lift off the gas and cruise, the clicking stops completely.
