just drove the truck to Dallas today. Still get the sound
during in town driving. Stop and go traffic. On the
road dont notice anything, runs fine. Mileage still
the same around 13 on the road so, like they said
cant be a particulate filter problem, mileage in range
with what other...
I thought about trading it in. Brought the truck because liked the
looks (yes a smaller gas truck (Toyota) would have been fine) of
the king Ranch pkg. What put a sour taste here was the mileage,
10mpg seems like you were constantly stopping if used it on a
trip. So shopped it around...
This is how they defined it on the service order. Took
the truck in since had a noise coming from the intake
or turbo area of the motor. If raced the engine and let
off the pedal got this puffing or flutter (air sound).
When they took off the air filter element was louder.
Thought it...
Mines not a daily anymore, since the diesel went up. So
still sitting around 15,000. On the highway, around 65 will do
19. In town and short hops will produce 10. Does good if ya
dont heavy foot these trucks.
got about 15,000 on the 08 here. lately mileage has
gone down for some reason. Its been reflashed
and check out at the dealer. But on road and city
combo now is about 11 to 12mpg. Have reset the
meter several times but hasnt shown any improvement.
If hand calculate the mileage has...
Those numbers sure are better than 9. Took the diesel into town on an
errand, filled up on the 8 mile trip back to the house it never went over
9mpg. That was on a 4 lane, cruise, no stops. The mid 20's to low
30's sure are nice to see on the mpg meter
What kinda mileage figures are you getting out of the
Tacoma. I know the V6 4 doors is rated at 20mpg.
I brought a small Ford sedan to run errands in that dont
require a truck. Its getting 35 on the road. A bud is
looking a Tacoma was wondering how the 4cyl does.
Just read this, guess others have issues with the mpg

same here thinking of trading it in too. Know gonna take a hit.
So plan to just wait till the 36 Bumper to Bumper gone than move
it. Unless something comes available that up's the mileage or offers
some reason to keep at $5 or plus a gallon fuel
did have mine reflashed, did no good on...
Sure makes
it easier to get up in the bed. Guess the new 150's are going
to have the opt now. Three things were a must on the locator,
Nav, moonroof and Steps. Traded a year old F150 in and the
steps were a main reason
