Slipping
I have a 1999 ford F-450 with a 7.3 in it. Recently my clutch and transmission went out. We replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, clutch fork, and had the transmission rebuilt. I got it back today and it runs good except for one thing. loss of power
the oil and filters had been changed about 1200 miles ago. but i think i found the problem it is the harness that connects to the injector harness under the valve cover. it was loose plugged it in a little more and seems the problem has fixed. will test it a little more tommorrow.- F-450 7.3

I have a 99 ford 7.3. The truck starts and hesitates to rev up. Once you get it to about 3000 rpm the truck is fine and then looses power and slows to about 2500 rpm and then goes back up to 3000 on its own. What are some possibilities the problem could be.- F-450 7.3

No Start Powerstroke
Had the same problem with my 99 7.3. The problem on mine was that on the driver side head there is a sensor with three wires going into it. Over time the insulation had detereiated away and the bare wires were touching. I just pulled them apart so the wires would not be touching and the truck...- F-450 7.3

Found the problem today. Truck has started. It was the pig tail harness to the sensor on the drivers side head. I think it is called an ip something. The wires insulation had deteriated and the wires had touched. When i moved the wires so they would not touch everything went back to normal and...- F-450 7.3

Ok pulled every fuse inside and under the hood of the truck and all are good. The wts light still does not come on or the fue lpump. And the tach still does not jump at all while cranking. Any other suggestions?- F-450 7.3

I Have got a 1999 Ford F-450 with a 7.3. And I was going down the road and the truck turned off on me. Tried to start it and the truck cranks fine but does not start. The rpm tach is not moving or jumping at all while cranking and the wait to start light does not come on either with the key in...- F-450 7.3
