What is that noise?
Hello Seawolf I had the same noise about an year ago. It was the solenoid for front locks. Located on the wall on top of the right wheel. Changed it, and no more continuing noise. When you look at the crossmember from below, there is a big hole in the middle, almost in the middle, I cut from both ends of the hole backward. I did not want to cut the whole crossmember. oil pan change
In my 2000 X the oil pan was totally rusted. The guys that usually do my oil change had not mentioned anything. I could have found an easier solution, if would have known in early stage. It had BAD rust spots in the front part of the pan as well. The worst was in the deep part. I was first...- Finn

Excursion stereo upgrade question
Hi Brian You can use player, that sends the signal to your radio. I have a dvd player that does that. Only problem then is the extra player somewhere. Or i-Pod. But no self burned cds to original player, sorry. Jukka- Finn

Burned fuse
Solved It was a mini-fuse - 15 A, in the fuse box under the steering, second row from the top, in the middle. Next time that I ask anything electricity related - just auto-delete my question ( : I should have seen that myself. again. Well but atleast I got so pi..off that now I am changing...- Finn

Burned fuse
And further - if it is a maxi fuse, is there any other same size fuse that is not too vital for driving. I will not be able to get a new fuse before monday earliest, so I need to borrow a fuse from another location. thanks Jukka- Finn

what is ford replacing the excursion with?
Based on latest Petersen's 4wheel&off-road - June 06 Expedition will have 2007 extended version EL ( Ford ) and L ( Lincoln ) comining to stores this summer and Ford this fall. That should be pretty much the same size as X Ofcourse - unfortunately it will not be for European markets. Jukka- Finn

Ok Gentlemen I finally got the time to get the CPS changed. It took me a good five hours. I loosened the fan, drained the coolant to get the radiator hoses out of my way on the bottom, tried to lift the radiator out, but found out that it has the trans oil in it as well, so didn't touch that...- Finn

So Gentlemen, despite all the warnings in previous posts, I was able to round the bolt of CPS. Itmust have happened to someone else as well. So how did youget it out ? Giving the block around CPS some heat ? Does the CPS melt ? Replacing everything from the front and drill it ? Major job. Or...- Finn
