I dunno for the pyrometer guage specifically but glowshift has a lot of adaptors that making wiring easier. I just added a oil temp, oil pressure gauges to my Mustang and was able to get a $25 adaptor that lets me screw it right into the oil can, then tap into 2 prefitted holes on the adaptor...
Can't say for the 2011 series specifically but I always, always wait til at least second year of production for a vehicle. Whenever I buy one though, I know Im gonna run it into the ground and own it for prob 5 to 12 years so I like to make sure I get one with all the kinks worked out.

Truck has been more of a semi- restoration process, currently has 76k on the clock which isn't bad for a 93.
Mustang has all bolt on's, comp thump cams, turned out 342 rwhp at the last dyno. Fun weekend toy. :-)
