Yep! Its awesome. I was really screwed up for at least 2 months with babesia infection- it's another tick-borne disease like/with Lyme. I'm not out of the woods yet but I can actually tell that treatment is doing something, which it didn't feel like for the first 2 months. I actually built a...
Hi Rick! How is everything?
I've seen screenshots of Graydon's plans, and they look very comprehensive- he usually seems to illustrate everything with dozens of photos. Obviously there are lots of other ways to build an Appleseed and it's not that hard to just follow simpler plans. One of my...

Here's a how-to about the process, which we wrote with a whole bunch of different people (sort of like tech articles at this forum):

I've had an article in progress at Home Power magazine (bi-monthly magazine about renewable energy- solar and wind and all that) for a year now, and it finally came out the other day, I"m so excited.
It's an article on building an 'Appleseed' biodiesel processor- the water-heater-based things...
It looks like this problem was due to off-spec biodiesel . We have a commercial biodiesel distributor here in Northern California, which tests all the fuel that they sell, and therefore can actually guarantee that their fuel meets 'ASTM-specs'. NONE of their 6.0 customers have reported any...
Sounds like great oil to me!
KOH is easier to handle- the glycerine is always liquid rather than a gel (with such a tiny number on titration your oil will probably have liquid glycerine anyway even with NaOH). It's also much easier to dissolve into methanol than NaOH is.

Try and do the titration with KOH if you're going to ultimately use KOH, then use the titration results just like you would have with NaOH. The titration you do with the two different chemicals (ie 1/1000 NaOH versus 1/1000 KOH) is going to be give just slightly different results. Otherwise, if...
Since my IDI brethren don't seem to want to come to Superduty.com, how about a biodiesel section at oilburners- or is it too much to have "one more" place for this discussion?
