    I'll tell you why, Because they are cheaper to make, i have a 99 with forged rods, and wouldn't trade it for Powdered Metal rods any day i'm pushin over 400HP no prob on stock and can go even higher, but yea it's cuz they're cheaper to make

    I agree, don't go over 1250 for extended periods of time, i've hit 1550 on short bursts on the track, and showing off on the road, but no more than 30seconds to a minute (that is on all stock internals stock head bolts and stock turbo) also it depends on where you are mesuring your EGTS from...

    If you go with Swamps, you will love them, noone in the field is as good with the Ford powerstroke Systems. I've been to their shop and seen them in action, and lemme tell you what, when they build you a set of injectors they bench flow test every injector, and make sure it flows what it is...

    No voltage to Relay/controller for Glow plugs

    Go to your local auto parts store, and get a ford starter Relay, it is the same thing as the Glow plug relay and it's about a quarter of the cost ( i think mine was about 10-20 bucks)

    yea, the tranny will be fine if that's all you have, When you add I performance injectors and other major mods in when you have to start watching yourself. Swamps Diesel Performance is a good place to get injectors, they'll build you anything from one step above stock as huge as you want...

    inject control pressure

    Just call Swamps Diesel Performance, they build custom HPOP's and they can talk you through how to test it, and how to fix it. 1-866-595-8724, and they are Specialists in powerstrokes, trust me, that's who i went through, when i got mine (they call it a GEN3)

    Oil Leak

    Take a look at the lines that go from your High pressure oil pump to your heads, I have an Earily 99 and i had that problem, ford in all of their intelligence, put quick disconnects on the lines and they can start to leak after awhile, especially if you run mods.
