Wow...wierd... i do a lot of heavy stop and go and slow traffic out here in LA, CA - go figure - but my tranny is typically about 165 and motor temp between 185 & 210 when its 85F outside. I guess I'm running hot? :dunno
Any suggestions to knock dwn the temps. My EGT's are low end 395 (idle)...
with approx 80 degree weather...what do you guys think is about average to low average engine and tranny temps... not towing.. just in pretty much, stop & go or med-heavy to heavy traffic... ANy IdeAS?

everything is mandrel bent and SS..... it is all welded except for the "test pipe" portion.... so i can hypothetically replace the CAT for inspection.

i have a cmprsr with a pressure switch ...on wire from the cmprsr to the PS then the other from tehe cmprsr to Grnd... then the other open end of the PS gets the HOT lead from the upfitter switch. THIS ALL WORKS GREAT! Compressor comes on perfectly when i turn AUX4 Upfitter...
Just DO IT!
take it all out from the turbo out and run a 4 1/2" down pipe to same size solid pipe all the way out and terminate wherever you want.... ( i did before the rear end axle with a 6" SS tip).....IT HOWLS!
EGR UNPLUG OR NOT
I have mine unplugged.....it's a 6.0...is this the best or do i have to do more or whats the deal. I heard that if you unplug it it is best, but then i heard you need to have teh valve actually tig welded closed because just unpluggin it does not mean it will stay...

If you want LOUD.... ask my neighbors when i leave at 4:30 AM! You can hear the turbo wind down after you turn the truck off and the turbo whistles like no other.... all you need to do is run a 4" pipe from the turbo (including the downpipe) to where ever and NO CAT NO MUFFLER! I get...

Look.... i went through the whole thing of buying a system and little by little removing components....but.... bottom line... just go to a performance muffler shop and have them run a 4" or 4 1/2" pipe from the turbo to wherever you like and delete all mufflers and cats.... and you...
