    reloading hangun ammo

I started reloading last winter to lower costs and get away for a while in the garage. I bought the RCBS complete Rock Chucker Supreme setup at Cabelas during the holidays and it was 25% off or something like that. Came with one of the reloading manuals so all I had to do was get a case cleaner...

    auto enginuity VS snap-on scanner???

I have used the AE software for over two years since I bought the truck. I just found out it works with any car/truck with an ODB2 port and will read and record all ODB2 parameters with no special extras such as those for the Diesel. I fixed an issue with the SES light on my wife's DTS a couple...

    Tuner and Exhaust modifications

I have a 2000 F350 dually and use an AFE intake and also their 4 inch SS exhaust that came with a Magnaflow muffler. The truck did not have a cat from the factory, maybe cause it was sold in Arkansas? I also have an Edge with Attitude programer and in "economy" mode I can get 17 to 18 MPG...

    AutoEnginuity Software is Great!!

It was a vacuum leak. The codes popped up again and I did some searching on the Cadillac form and there was a reference to the rubber elbow in the PCV line. Sure enough it was split about half way around causing extra air which got the computer confused. I replaced it with a length of kevlar...

    AutoEnginuity Software is Great!!

Thanks, that was what I was also thinking but so far I am trying to not have to get beneath all that stuff that GM has covering the engine?! If the codes pop up again then I'll have to start digging.....

    AutoEnginuity Software is Great!!

When I bought the 2000 F350 a couple of years ago I bought a software package called AutoEnginuity and it has the extra module for the Ford diesels and trans and such and has been very helpful when the check engine light flashes now and then and it runs on my laptop (also for PDAs). Well the...

    Help Needed Front end loose

I would get the truck and trailer weighed as follows: Front and rear axle w/o trailer, front and rear axle with trailer, trailer axle and tongue weights without connection to the truck. Sounds like to much weight is on the rear making the front of the truck too light and it wants to wander. It...

Sometimes the long wait is worth it!

About 10 yeard ago there started a vintage sports car race in Coronado CA at the Naval Station at North Island. I was stationed there while on several ships and worked there as a civilian manager after I retired, Since we race a 1973 Porsche in various vintage events I have been trying to get...

    Factory GPS Antenna Location

I would guess under the front part of the dash some-where? When I installed my Kennwod Flatscreen with a GPS module, the instructions were in big letters to make sure that there was no metal between the receiver donut and the sky. I guess plastic is okay but metal is a no-no. They said to mount...

    The new/used play toy.

You can go vintage racing with it easily. At PIR and the CA Speedway our vintage sports car races have the historic stock cars show up out here on the west coast with people like Gene Felton and others. I see that there are even historic dirt and modified stock cars groups now which is what I...

    Did the alignment tonight

Well the toe was 1/4 inch toe out before adjustment. Caster was even on both sides as was the camber, 0 degrees. Since the left wheel was wearing badly and the wheel was turned left slightly, I adjusted the right side wheel and now have 3/16 toe in each side after adjustments and moving the truck.

    Question Alignment Specs

Thanks for the input. I have a caster gauge so I think what I'll do is check to make sure both sides are the same. The rule of thumb is more caster means more stability, less caster means less stability or easier to turn.

    Question Alignment Specs

Well for a while now the dually has been pulling to the right slightly and I noticed some accelerated inside tire wear on the left front tire which tells me the left front is scrubbing. I checked the front suspension and nothing is excessivly worn or loose so I think it is time to pull out my...

MAX DUALLY Tire Size on 16s

I would think they would touch which is a bad thing as they will rapidly overheat. I have 235s on all four corners of my dually and in the rear have about 1 inch of clearance when the 5th wheel trailer is on and loaded with the race car. I posted about this issue last winter when I had some...
