Hey guys, my dealer its being dickingme around for a week trying to get a PCM for my 2000 f350 4x4 6spd...
Does anyone knows were to get one? Used/new doest matter as long as it works...
Cant trust the dealership, there is one 200 miles away and i'm seriously thinking about going and...
According to the dealer.. its a PCM issue cuz they cant communicate with the pcm.. So, PCM needs to be replaced at a wooping $900+
I asked if i could bring a spare pcm to rule out that problem.. Said nope, cant brind used parts..
im thinking of towing it out of there and replace the PCM my...
I laughed at the guys and left the store..
I'm in Atlanta, Georgia.. Dunwoody area to be more precise..
I might just bite the bullet and take it to the dealer.. Cant be without the truck for too long..
I even went to buy a code reader.. auto part store didnt guaranteed that it would read the code, just that ti should, and its a non returnable item... Dont mind buying the device but dotn want to risk not been able to read the code like in that other place.
If the pump does not come on when...
battery is not bubling.. what bubles seems to be the abs pump right under the driver's side battery for 2-3 secs when the key its put in the on position.
Fuel pump does not Come on when key is in the on position. i put my had over it to feel any vibrations and noting, dead silent..
So, if there is no other fuse, relay or what not that would prevent the pump from turning on.. i think the pump is bad...
whould the pcm sense that the pump is bad...
oil level is a tad lower than teh full mark due to the incline..
when i turn the key i dont hear the pump come on..
In two ocations i heard what to me seems like an air pump very close the top/passanger fender..
Under the battery (driver side) there are two sounds about 3 or so seconds...
just changed teh #16 fuse and nothing changed..
unpluged the diesel heater element... nothing changed..
Opened the fuel filter.. there is fuel there alright, when i put the cap back there was more fuel than when i took it out.
I unpluges teh batteries to resent the computer and they are...
checked all fuses, cab & engien bay.. #16 in engine bay is blown.. going out a few mins to get a few 20A fuses just in case..
whats wired to fuse #16?
edit:
Ill take it to other place once it starts..
Hey guys... i just got a 4" inch exhaust put in yesterday... soon after that a 'service engine soon' came up.. didnt pay much attention...
later that day i stoped at car place to get a read out on the computer, nothing camer up but the truck refused to start again.. It cranked but just...
