Was wondering if there are any long term issues that can arise from leaving your EGR Valve unplugged?
This is the second time this year it has gone out. Last time I didn't know that was what it was and you could unplug it and I had to pay a tow truck to come and get it. I have heard of...
bush, I know you have a schematic or diagram laying around that you are just itching to post of here about all of the vacuum lines and all that. The more I can visually see where it is located and how to track down the problem the better off I will be. Simply because I have a 1 week old in the...
My ac systems is functioning properly. I haven't had any problems with it cooling the truck down or blowing air out of the vents. It isn't defaulting to defrost only either.
Another issue with my truck. Lets see if anyone else has had or currently has this problem. I have the FX4 package with auto-lock hubs, but when they are set to auto and I twist the switch to engage 4 high or 4 low the truck never goes into 4 wheel drive. I have to get out of the truck and...
don't worry bush, I will definitely be on here if I ever have anymore troubles. As of right now though the truck is still running fine. At least now I know that I can unplug the egr and get the truck to the shop without have to call for a tow.
Thanks bush, now I know about the EGR system. So in theory by unplugging the egr would that then allow me throttle to get finished with what I was doing and enough safe time to get the truck to the shop? So I won't be left stranded on the side of the road?
I will have to say it again, bush...
***update***
The dealership got me my truck back right after lunch today  As it turned out it was the egr valve. What does EGR stand for and better yet what is its purpose?
I have never heard of any exhaust kit adding that kind of numbers to anyones mileage. That would mean with a 300-700 exhaust kit you would save $45.25 per fill up and that the exhaust kit would therefore pay for it self in 6.6 to 15.5 fill ups. Which in my case would mean at max 2 1/2 months...
bushpilot, I didn't notice anything really with the boost it was just all of the sudden no go. They are supposed to get it in the shop this morning and start diagnosing the problem. I have got to call them around lunch today to see what is going on.
Today while trying to take back some materials from a job I lost all throttle response from my truck. 2006 F-350 6.0 PSD 47000 miles. I was able to make it to the side of the road. It is like the truck went into limp mode. I was cruising along at 55mph and all of the sudden the truck just...
I'll have to get up to the office and pull the invoice from the work that was done and cull through it to try and find the documentation if there is any. When I originally looked over it I don't remember seeing it, but I will look again.
