Thank you MBRPCrazyford for the input. My cables appear OK so I’ll assume that the starter is at fault. There are many different starters listed on the net that fit this application. Any suggestions which might be better or is the original part # the only one that will work? Would like...- lmoeco1

I recently bought a 99 f 550. I put 2 new batteries and the starter turns the engine at first, but slow after about 4 or 5 seconds cranking. Will start sometimes but doesn’t want to when cold. Can the starter cause this?- lmoeco1
