Difference between 99 and 99.5?
My guess is the problem you are referring to about 99 rotors are not fitting your truck has nothing to do with early99 and 99.5 In 99 ford made two different f250's. Light duty and super duty. the F250 light duty has the body of the f150s. It seems everytime i go to a parts store to get...- ole_blu

PSD Engine Life?
Just wondering whats the most miles you guys have on your 7.3 powerstrokes? Mine is a 99.5 and have 240,000. In a FS2000 ad in Diesel Power mag there was a guy that claimed 524,xxx on the original motor.- ole_blu

Yes, the high idle is normal. In winter operation when the parking brake is enabled and the truck is idling for 2-5 minutes (time may vary) the truck will idle up to prevent wet stacking as ford calls it.
