    I just uncovered another interesting piece of this mystery puzzle. All of the lurching/ surging is eliminated as long as I have the truck on "cruise control".

    Yes, I removed the MaxTuner program. The truck runs as described but more severely with program installed.

    Here's a tough one for the class. Three DTC's (P-0122, 0603 & 1211). The only symptom is "surging".
