Does anyone do VIN checks or know where to get one? I am looking at a truck for potential purchase and wondered where to look up its history. Any help would be appreciated.
Just got off the phone with my friend and he said that the valley was dry. He also said that it has almost completely stopped leaking which makes me think that the water seperater may have been open a bit and was leaking under pressure when the truck was shut off. Thanks for the info!

My buddy's '00 has a bad fuel leak. It appears to be concentrated on the passenger side. He said it will dump about a quart of fuel after shut down.
He is going on a long trip tomorrow and needs his rig. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!!:thanks
As stated before, get air before you introduce fuel!! Exhaust, intake, guages, tuner in that order. Call Jody at DP Tuner if you go with an SCT. He has many options and can custom build a tow tune for you. You won't be sorry. Shawn
Hey Maxtor,
I'm not sure of the measured height, but I'm only 5'5" on a good day and I am about eye level with the top of the tailgate. Most all of my friends have lifted trucks and all of them have done a spring over on their trailers with nary an issue. Worst case you may have to drop your...
Hey Maxtor,
It sounds like you are running about a six inch lift, otherwise you wouldn't
have blocks, you'd have springs only. My truck had an 8" lift and it lined up perfectly with my 5er. I had tha axels flopped and it fit like it was meant to
be!! What size lift and tire are you running...
Depending on the size of the lift you want you may also need
add-a-leafs with the blocks. Stock blocks are 3.5", so if you
are going to a 4" lift you would only need a 2" add-a-leaf. What
ever you do remember, NEVER EVER stack blocks! Also, beware
of 4Wheel Parts as they employ less than...
I think Dave is right. It seems as though it must be an air issue due to the fact that it only seems to act up when there is a significant change in altitude. My Duramax goes back to the dealer this Friday on a Lemon Law
that took 6 months to handle. My '05 Dodge blew a transmission and an...
So, other than the sound, it would seem that there is no difference
in performance or temps. I suppose it would be easy to just leave it
in and if I don't like the sound, take it out. Thanks for your input guys.
And I have never seen a hippy with the name Hoss!!:roflmao
Hey Brent, on a side...
I've heard tell that some people noticed no difference whatsoever
when they ran their truck with or without the cat in place. My
concern is if leaving my cat in place, will I suffer higher egt's?
Will my hp/tq numbers decrease? I have a 5" exhaust system
that allows me the ability to remove...
I have heard and read about a mod referred to as the "Banjo bolt Mod".
Could someone give me an idea as to what this is and what benefits
it may bring.
Thanks, Shawn
Mix it conservatively, like 65/35 H2o to Methanol, and you should
be okay. Provided your timing is correct. These additions all require
that the variables be in order!
If you are looking for safer gains you may want to explore some
different types of mods. Banks is a bit on the...
