fixed my a/c problem went to the ford house and bought the bolt that goes on the compressor and clutch and made some spacers out of washers to get the right air gap and it worked woooohoooo i guess it just got loose and fell off dont know why- silvervic99stang

I've been looking at them prices and the best thing would be buying it as a set compressor and clutch. how much (ball park figure) will it cost to service the system if i replace the compressor myself... also its the clutch that came off the clutch pulley. it looks like the bolt just backed out...- silvervic99stang

Found out my problem i crawled under the truck and i found this lodged over some hoses i am assuming its part of the clutch... now how can i fix this problem will i have to buy a new a/c compressor and clutch assembly or can i just replace the clutch assembly... any instructions on how to will...- silvervic99stang

well i looked and both pulley are turning so i would guess i can rule out bad clutch...it got dark no time to check other stuff will look into it more tomorrow thanks- silvervic99stang

I bought my truck on 8-06 and i had my a/c recharged before i took it home. during the last year and a half it worked fine but now it don't want to work. since this is about servicing ford ive heard not to change fluid out on transmission cuz it might fall apart. well not "fall apart" but mess up cuz old trany fluid holding it toghether ive owned mine for almost 100k never serviced trany should I?:dunno- silvervic99stang
