FYI Check your brakes!!!
Never towed or hauled anything heavy. The inside pads were stuck (wouldn't slide) so I guess they got really hot. All is well now though. Truck rolls freely now and I'm averaging 14.5 to 15.5 MPG around town and 18-19 MPG highway.- skyhawk1

Jeff, not sure about your question (I never changed any brake pads on other model SD's) but mine were stuck at the top and bottom ears of the brake pad. There's a little metal clip on each of the ears and they just slide into the slots (about an inch wide) of the mounting bracket. Mine are...- skyhawk1

Never had a regen yet
I guess I should have asked if you have had the latest flash. I think the job 2's did display "CLEANING EXHAUST FILTER" for just a second or two and if you were not watching the display it was easily missed. The latest flash displays the message utill it finishes. My job 1 regened about every 4...- skyhawk1

6.4L Block Heater
I think all of them have the block heater, it's just that most of the 6.4's don't have the cord. To save/make money Ford only installed the cord on trucks going to the cold states. West Virginia is not on the list of cold states according to Ford, but on those 10 degree above mornings it's nice...- skyhawk1

6.4L Block Heater
TexasExcursion, I just remembered something else that might save you a bunch of Bruce Minutes. The end that plugs into the block heater only will go 1 way. I fiddled with it for 30 minutes or so trying to plug it in and just about gave up, then turned the plug 180 degrees and it fell right in!- skyhawk1

New Guy, Over heating problem
Go back to your dealer and get you a new radiator. It's a known problem, actually they will be expecting you. My service writer told me that it's not IF you'll need a new radiatior but WHEN you'll need a new radiator. Mine went at 20,000 miles.- skyhawk1

Mine quit working sometime during the winter. The first time I turned it on this summer I only got hot air. I took it in to get the seat back recall done and they checked the a/c. Tech said there was a bad o-ring somewhere. They replaced it and recharged the air and everything is working...- skyhawk1
