Ah, ok. thanks for clarifying. The 1/2" plate was for the brackets, not the boards. The handrail is the "nerf bar". And you have a regular cab it seems. You're right, I was envisioning a crew cab with 7 foot long running boards made up of 1/2" steel plate, cantilevered some 20 inches...- Y2KW57
