tranny cooler install question ASAP.

no instructions, so I have to ask. When installing an additional cooler which line do I splice into? (in or out) And which is which. 01 7.3l auto 4x4. thanks

the rear line out of the tranny is the "IN" line to the cooler at the bottom of the radiator.

OUT from the radiator is the IN to the trans cooler.

OUT from the cooler is the IN side of the tranny, that should be the FRONT line at the tranny.

the 7.3 cooler is of a poor design, it functions more like a sump.

as far as install goes, it's tough to say. does you add in cooler have a temperature bypass?

I have no idea. Its a perma cool universal oil cooler. got it from a friend.

You've got that backwards, the front line is the supply and the rear is the return.
