I heard a few people have strecthed the ARP head studs and also has anyone installed them? Did you have to pull the cab or the motor?

I know that I had talked to my certified PSD mechanic and he said that the engine had to be when replacing the head gaskets. So I would think the same on the studs.

Those are the easiest ways. Or you could unbolt the cab and support the font with jack stands. I've heard it is possible with cab on and motor in place, but you'd have to remove your heater box and it'll be super tight. I think the heads and studs have to come out and go in together, (studs held in head with rubber bands).

I guess it's a matter of preference. When his back is not up to par, he won't do them in the truck. He then prefers to take the motor out.

Thanks,
Vivian

you would have to either pull the motor, or lift the cab. in my opinion, the cab is way easier and quicker.

I personally haven't read anywhere about people streaching ARP head bolts. I have them and they have been great. They pulled the body off of my Excursion when they replaced my warped heads that was causing my puking.
