1,000 lbs more?

How does and excursion weigh 1,000 lbs more that an F-250? I can't believe that the covered end and glass total 1,000 lbs? :dunno

There's a lot of metal structure your not accounting for, plastic interior pieces hiding lots of sound deadening stuff, extra a/c controls and lines, seating, carpet, more sound deadening stuff, different cross members for the transmission, more sound deadening stuff..... :cool:

Yeah, I can feel it when I drive the Excursion. It weighs considerably more. Funny that a F250 PSD 4X4 Crew Cab with Fiberglas Cap could be considered light. It's not light, but next to the Excursion, it is definately lighter. They both have the same springs and shocks now & I couldn't be happier.

Not to get off track, but my Dealership just got in the first Diesel MegaCab. Darn nice rig. The interior is a little cheap, but I'm sure it works ok. I think I'll start a new thread so not to upset anyone. :dunno

Just pull out the 3rd row seat and lift it. I bet you will wonder how along with all the other crap in there how it ONLY weighs 1000# more.
