Crazy ideas for improving fuel economy...anyone gone THIS far?

i'm seeing the same numbers when i slow down on my 120 mile a day route, but that involves me getting up on time and not having to run the old gal wide open every morning

also when me and my father follow each other to Tn. (300 miles) i will follow his expedition (fairly closely) with the cruise on and i see the 20+mpg at 75-80mph interstate speeds
