Has the IPR valve ever been changed?

If driving steady throttle at 60mph, does it ever feel like it throttle's slightly even though your foot didn't move?

Mine does this and when I put my clutch in on extreme it romps pretty bad. I have a sticking IPR valve and verified it with an HPOP gauge, mine jumps back and forth 200-400 psi with no throttle change when cruising.

No IPR has never been changed. Truck has 138k on it and has never malfunctioned what so ever until I tried running the chip. I resently made a 1500 mile road trip with the truck before adding chip and no issues at all.

I would have to say your ipr is fine. When the icp is jacked up like an extreme tune, or 10k, or 5.6k mods for that matter, the pcm has a rough time figuring out how to idle the truck smoothly. Only thing I would ask about is if the stock injector intensifier pistons could possibly bottom out with the extreme tune. If you had modded pistons and stock oil you would probably run out of injection control oil first, but with stock length intesifier pistons I think they could bottom out on really extreme tunes, but then again I could be talking out my @$$, tony has been tuning for quite a while now, with lots of satisfied customers, so I'm sure he has done his homework, just give him a call.

By the way, were the heck is chaffe? Lived in MO all my life and don't know where that is.

I was wondering myself what could possibly be wrong with my truck other than just a miscalculated program:dunno. But there has got to be something wrong with the program or that tune is just so insane that these are normal characteristics, because the truck runs great when not in this tune. I will confirm with Tony as soon as he returns my e-mails or I can catch him on the phone. I guess he is really busy, I just thought some of you other guys with his tunes could possibly verify if I have a problem or not.

Oh and Chaffee is in SE Missouri not too far from Farmington I am about 15 minutes south of Cape Girardeau.

I just got confirmation from Tony my so called problems are a result of this nasty tune he gave me:sly and they are perfectly normal. Guess that explains all the black smoke:innocent

When the icp is jacked up like an extreme tune

ICP is not "jacked up" on a hot tune at idle. My ext. tune from Tony has the same ICP at idle as my street tune...~550psi. My stockish and tow burns have a slightly higher ICP at idle and actually idle smoother. All pressures monitored by a Dipricol HPOP gauge from Dennis @ ITP.

On a 10k mod that would be different unless it deactivates with the TPS.
