Yes it dose.:D

Absolutely. @#$%^&* EPA. Bunch of liberal sissies. Now our diesel cost more than gas because of ulsd, and the mileage is less. I still swear I am down by atleast 3 mpg since ulsd took over. I used to make 18-19 EVERY day. Now I am doing very good to make 15-16. GRRRRRRRR. Don't even want to open up the can of worms and go off on our govt in genral, epa, carb etc etc etc......:dizzy:dizzy:dizzy:dizzy

:sorry:sorry Struck a nerve, had to get it off my chest.:D:D

Two and a half months later and I think I figured it out.

I am thinking that the grades on the Steese are mis-marked like the grades on the Dalton and they are steeper than they say. Some of the 9% marked grades on the Dalton are actually 12% but they down grade them so they can get federal money for the road. I am now guessing the the 8% on the Steese is more like 10%.

I just returned from our annual Valdez trip and the power was under the hood.:D I came up Thompson pass which is a 7 mile climb from sea level to 2,670ft at 55mph while grossing about 16k. Could have went a bit faster but don't like abusing the old girl too much - Little smoke coming out the back and egt's hanging about 1,100º. Nice little 730 mile trip and she ran like a top all the way :sweet Only used about $400 worth of fuel
