Recently my 99 7.3 f-250 6speed that i purchased had a superchip that went out (un-benounced to me). And the truck jsut all of a sudden would randemly not start, then agin sometimes it would. I have a freind that works at the local ford dealership and he put that computer on it and then after the code was presented he reached under the dash and ripped a gold chip out. Am i the only one that has ever had a chip go "bad". He told me that the chip had somehow caused my computer to shut down and wouldnt allow the truck to start............comments anyone

p.s. the truckl is working fine after he took it out..

thanks

David it is not uncommon for an installed chip to work its way lose... often unplugging and replugging the chip in will take care of the problem.

if your truck is like mine, swap around the three big relays in the underhood PDC and see if the blower fan randomly won't work..
