My tire rubbed my ABS wire in to that goes to the driverside tire:doh:. I spliced it back together and the ABS light is still on on the dash. How do I get the light to go off or is splicing it not good enough? Any suggestions?

you sure its spliced together properly ?
is the other wheel sensor ok ?

scanned it for codes ? might not be the sensor you think it is.

honestly Id just replace it......i think the splice is gonna end up
giving you problems later.

1-probaly set a code and will have to be cleared...trying unhooking bats for few minutes, if you don`t have a code reader that will clear the code....

2-still have problem with wire connection

did you solder the connections and shrink tube them?

they are a bit of a pain to fix being such a small guage of wire....

Heres the run down. Soldered the wire and used liquid electric tape and regular electric tape. I tried pulling codes with my programmer and another code reader and they both say no codes stored. I unhooked the batteries for probably 20-30 mins and its still there. I was told it could be the speed sensor on the rearend but dont know.

your programmer may not read abs codes(i know mine doesn`t), i am not sure, but if you can hook up to a MODIS(SNAP-ON) scanner or something equilavant, you will beable find out for sure if there is a code and lead you in the right direction....

it is possible the rear sensor to be faulty.......

Well since I last posted Ive had a vacuum problem and in the process of locating a leak there, I stumbled on my light problem. While fooling with the vacuum line at the hub on the driverside I made the ABS light go off. Guess theres still a short in that wire somewhere. Now I just gotta find that wire. Anybody got one on a old hub?
